NSF Is Seeking Program Manager

NSF's Division of Polar Programs (PLR) External U.S. government site in the Geosciences Directorate is seeking a Program Manager for Antarctic Research Facilities and Special Projects in the Antarctic Sciences Section (ANT). The incumbent coordinates the development of science support plans across the Section to ensure that the scientific objectives can be met in an orderly, cost-effective, and efficient manner. The responsibilities are wide-ranging. The incumbent also serves as the principal ANT interface with AIL Program Officers; analyses and assesses the effectiveness of science support in the field; manages funding for Section-wide instrumentation investments; oversees activities related to sample repositories, ice-coring facilities, and interactions with NSF-supported instrument pools used by ANT; and, as required, serves as an NSF Science Representative at McMurdo, Palmer, and South Pole stations, at remote sites, or on USAP vessels.
